Cannabis which Kent Police said could have a street value of "at least £130,000", has been seized at a house in Sittingbourne.

The property on Daisy Walk on the Eden Valley estate contained 430 plants growing in five rooms.

A 41 year-old man and a 27-year-old woman were arrested and have been charged.

Police said there was a serious risk of fire in the building as the mains electricity had been bypassed.

Sgt Russ Phillips said: "There were cables everywhere, presenting a real fire hazard. I think if we hadn't caught it there may well have been a severe fire in the property."
