Woman suffers asthma attack in Kent house fire

A woman had to be taken to hospital for treatment for an asthma attack after a fire broke out at her Kent home.

Two crews were called to the property in Harold Road, Birchington, near Margate, at about 2230 BST on Sunday.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service said one of the two occupants suffered a asthma attack and was taken to hospital.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguish the fire, which is thought to have started accidentally, by about 2310 BST.
