Man, 24, found unconscious in Sheerness dies

A 24-year-old man has died nearly two weeks after he was found unconscious in the middle of a Kent town.

Police said he was found near the clock tower in Sheerness in the early hours of 12 June following an incident in the Tudor public house a few hours earlier.

The man, who has not been named, was taken to the Medway Maritime Hospital and transferred to Kings College Hospital in London.

A post-mortem examination is due to take place on Friday.

Kent Police have begun an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of the man who died on Wednesday.
