Man robbed after answering door in Hythe

Jewellery worth thousands of pounds was stolen from a house in Kent by thieves who burst in after knocking on the door.

The victim, who lives in Albert Road, Hythe, answered his door shortly after 2200 BST and was confronted by two men who pushed past him and threatened him.

The victim handed over a "large quantity of high-value jewellery".

Kent Police said the victim believed two other men were standing at the front door as the intruders left.

One of the suspects is described as male, about 6ft 1in tall, of fat build, and wearing a white mask with the eyes and mouth cut out, a black leather jacket and black tracksuit bottoms with a white stripe down the side.

The second suspect is described as male, white, 5ft 3in tall, of slim build, aged 25 to 30, with black cropped hair and wearing a grey hoodie.
