Three arrested over man's death in Sheerness

Three people have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a 24-year-old man in Sheerness.

Kent Police found a man unconscious near the clock tower in High Street in the early hours of 12 June.

The man was taken to Kings College Hospital in London for treatment but died on Wednesday.

Officers carried out arrest warrants at two properties in Sheerness on Saturday. Two men and a woman, in their early 20s, are being held.

Police believe the victim was injured during an incident that began in the Tudor public house and spilled out on to High Street.

The results of the post-mortem examination and the identity of the victim are expected to be released by police on Monday.
