Kent man stabbed with screwdriver at Westgate-on-Sea

A man is in hospital after being stabbed with a screwdriver at a Kent railway station.

Officers were called to Westgate-on-Sea railway station at 1630 BST on Monday.

A 19-year old man from Herne Bay was stabbed in the back and abdomen and was taken to Queen Elizabeth Queen Mother Hospital (QEQM) in Margate.

Kent police said a number of people were involved in a row at the station and afterwards three men and a woman left the scene.

The man's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
