Motorist killed in two-car crash on A256

A driver has died after his car crashed with another vehicle on the A256 between Dover and Sandwich in Kent.

The victim was using a slip road at the junction with the A256 Dover Road at Tilmanstone when his car collided with a vehicle travelling east at 1045 BST.

The man, in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the other car was taken to the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital in Margate suffering from serious chest injuries.

The road was closed for three hours while serious collision and forensic officers carried out investigations.
