Part of a hill in Kent is to be fenced off to prevent young people throwing stones at the traffic below.

Kent Police said they had received reports that motorists have had to swerve out of the way after lumps of chalk were thrown from Dover Hill.

Officers have spoken to several young people, aged between eight and 14, who have denied involvement.

The force, alongside Shepway District Council, has agreed to fence off the area to visitors.
