Pony found severely injured in Gravesend street

A young Shetland pony has had to be put to sleep after he was found with severe injuries in a Kent street.

He was found wandering in Valley Drive, Gravesend, on Tuesday with slice wounds all over his body and an ear cut off.

The RSPCA said an inspector called to the scene immediately arranged for a vet to end the pony's suffering.

RSPCA Insp Alana Chapman has appealed for anyone with any information which could lead to the person responsible to come forward.
