Folkestone assault leaves man with head injuries

A man has been arrested on suspicion of assault after a 42-year-old man received "very serious" head injuries in a street fight in Kent.

Police were called to a disturbance in Marshall Street, Folkestone at about 22:00 BST on Friday.

The injured man has been admitted to hospital for treatment.

Kent Police, who said officers were trying to trace the injured man's next of kin, have appealed for witnesses to the incident to come forward.
