Four men arrested over Bearsted ram raid

Four men have been arrested following a ram raid attack on a Kent village shop.

Two 4x4 vehicles were believed to have been used to smash their way into Martin's Newsagents in Bearsted at about 04:15 BST on Friday.

A cash machine was stolen from the premises, which were left with significant structural damage. Forensic officers examined the scene afterwards.

Det Insp Emma Banks, of Kent Police, said officers were keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident.
