A 47-year-old man has been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with the murder of a 71-year-old man in Kent.

Police discovered the pensioner with multiple stab wounds to his chest and arms at a property in MacKenzie Way, Gravesend, on Monday evening.

The man, who has not yet been identified, died at the scene.

Tony Wotton, of Mackenzie Way, is due to appear next at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday.
