Kent Police reopen roads after Lydd barn fire

Police reopen roads in Kent after a fire at a farm led to fears that gas canisters might explode.

About 40 firefighters from Kent Fire and Rescue Service were sent to the scene of the fire in Romney Road, Lydd, at 15:00 BST on Friday.

Concern about gas cylinders stored in the building led to the closure of several roads in the area.

Kent Police said the roads reopened at 08:50 BST after fire crews declared the area safe.
