Prayers for soldier Dean Griffiths killed at Kent army range

Prayers have been said for a soldier from Shropshire who died in a shooting incident at an Army firing range in Kent.

Fusilier Dean Griffiths, from Market Drayton, served with the 1st Battalion The Royal Welsh. He died on Wednesday.

The 21-year-old was described by his family as caring and fun loving.

Prayers were said at St Mary's Church and Christ Church in Market Drayton. An investigation into what happened is under way.

Kent Police have begun an inquiry into the death, which happened at Lydd Ranges, on Romney Marsh.
