A paraglider had to be rescued by fire crews after he became stuck 60ft (20m) up a tree in West Sussex.

The man had been paragliding over the Devils Dyke near Poynings when his equipment became tangled in branches at 13:00 BST.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (WSFRS) were called to the scene after a passer-by spotted the man.

Crews used ropes to climb the tree and bring the man to safety. A WSFRS spokesman said he had minor injuries.
