A teenager has been charged with the murder of a 21-year-old man who was stabbed to death in Kent.

Tom Crittenden was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics who were called to an address in Sutton Road, Maidstone, at 02:13 BST on Sunday.

A post-mortem examination found he died from a single stab wound.

Caleb White, 19, from Cornwall Close, Maidstone, will appear before magistrates in the town on Tuesday accused of his murder.

A 21-year-old man and three women aged 18, 19 and 28, who were arrested in connection with the incident, have all been released on bail pending further inquiries.

In a tribute, Mr Crittenden's parents, Paul and Glenda Crittenden, and his brother, Sam, said: "Tom, our loving son, brother and grandson will be so missed by his family and close network of friends and colleagues.

"He was known as a gentle giant by everyone who knew him and he was dearly loved by everyone who knew him."
