Man in court charged with Tom Crittenden murder

A man has appeared in court charged with murder after the death of a 21-year-old man who was stabbed to death in Kent.

Caleb White, 19, of Cornwall Close, Maidstone, is accused of murdering Tom Crittenden, who was found by paramedics in Sutton Road, Maidstone, on Sunday.

He appeared at Maidstone Magistrates' Court and will appear in custody at Maidstone Crown Court on Thursday.

Post-mortem tests found Mr Crittenden died from a single stab wound.

A 21-year-old man and three women aged 18, 19 and 28, who were arrested in connection with the incident, have all been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Mr Crittenden was described as a "gentle giant" and "loved by everyone" by his parents, Paul and Glenda Crittenden, and his brother, Sam, on Monday.
