Three men arrested after Folkestone sex attack

Three men have been arrested after a woman was sexually assaulted in a graveyard in Kent.

Kent Police said the attack took place in the grounds of St Mary and St Eanswythe Church, Folkestone, on Thursday night.

A 30-year-old from Canterbury and a 31-year-old from Folkestone have been released on bail until 14 November.

A 29-year-old from Folkestone is being questioned and police are trying to trace a fourth man.

Kent Police said the victim had visited the Lord Morris in Guildhall Street and the East Kent Arms in Sandgate Road where she had a conversation with four men.

Acting Det Ch Insp Julien Lawton said: "She left the East Kent Arms at about 11pm in the company of one of the men.

"It appears that he was then joined by three other men and they took her into the graveyard where she was sexually assaulted."
