Boy attacked in Dover has life-threatening injuries

A 15-year-old boy has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries following an assault in Dover.

The attack happened at about 21:45 BST on Saturday on Worthington Street after the boy had left a newsagent.

Kent Police said the boy received serious head injuries in a confrontation with a young man outside Ladbrokes and a mini-market.

Drivers of two small silver cars, who may have witnessed the attack, are being asked to come forward.

The boy was taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford but was later transferred to King's College Hospital in London.
