Man charged after attack on Dover boy

A 19-year-old man has been charged over an assault which left a 15-year-old boy with serious head injuries.

The teenager was attacked in Worthington Street, Dover, at about 21:45 BST on Saturday.

Kent Police said he remained in a critical condition at Kings College Hospital, south-east London.

James Pettman, 19, of Belgrave Road, Dover, has been charged with grievous bodily harm and is due to appear at Folkestone Magistrates' Court later.

Three other men, aged 18, 28 and 31, and a 25-year-old woman have all been released on police bail until 21 November.
