Villagers in Meopham protest at housing plan

Residents have marched through a Kent village in protest at plans to earmark part of the area for new homes.

Ken Kemsley said Meopham residents wanted to highlight shortcomings in Gravesham Borough Council's long-term housing plan.

Mr Kemsley said it was not a case of nimbyism, but the village lacked the infrastructure to cope.

John Burden, the leader of the Labour-run council said the authority would listen to the views of residents.
