Man arrested over footbridge stabbing in Shoreham

A 23-year-old man has been arrested after another man was stabbed on a footbridge in West Sussex.

A man in his 20s suffered a small stab wound during an incident on the bridge, which connects Shoreham beach with the town centre, on Tuesday.

Sussex Police said a man from Storrington was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and had been bailed until 31 January.

The victim was treated in hospital for his injury and later discharged.

The footbridge in Shoreham was closed for a number of hours on Tuesday while Sussex Police officers investigated the incident.
