An investigation is under way into the cause of a large blaze at a farm in Kent that is thought to have killed thousands of chickens.

The fire destroyed two sheds after sweeping through Fridays at Knowbridge Farm, in Cranbrook, on Wednesday.

At its height, about 50 firefighters were needed to control the blaze and the smoke could be seen from as far away as Hastings and Ashford.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service said nobody had been injured in the fire.
