Spate of rural burglaries in east Kent linked by police

Businesses in rural areas of east Kent have been warned to be vigilant following a spate of burglaries in the past two weeks.

Kent Police said a post office in Ashford, a shop in Rolvenden and a newsagent in Hythe had been targeted.

Officers are also investigating burglaries at a garage in Dymchurch and a shop in New Romney.

Det Insp Mark Weller said the thieves had possibly been driving a silver hatchback in two of the burglaries.
