Man charged over Ramsgate cat swinging

A man has been charged after an incident in which a cat was swung by its tail was caught on CCTV.

The incident recorded outside the Camden Arms pub in Ramsgate at 08:15 BST on 29 October was highlighted by the RSPCA.

The cat, called Mowgli, was not injured in the incident.

Riain Richards, 20, from Ramsgate, is due to appear before Canterbury magistrates on 28 February accused of causing unnecessary suffering to a cat.
