Man dies and three injured in Broadstairs collision

A man has died and three people have been injured in a crash in Kent.

The 19-year-old victim was a passenger in a Vauxhall Astra which collided with a wall in Stone Road, Broadstairs, just before 04:00 GMT.

Two girls, both aged 17, who were also passengers, are in a serious but stable condition in the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital, in Margate.

Another man, a fourth passenger, suffered minor injuries. An 18-year-old man driving the car was not injured.

Stone Road was closed until 11:30 GMT for police investigations.

Anyone who saw the car being driven in the Broadstairs area between 03:30 and 04:00 GMT is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
