Cashier attacked as robbers hold up Deal betting shop

A cashier was attacked with a weapon as two teenage robbers held up a bookmaker's shop in Deal.

The pair, thought to be in their late teens, fled with an undisclosed amount of cash from Coral's in Mill Hill.

The 20-year-old cashier was hit with what police said was a baton but was not seriously injured.

Police are questioning witnesses and studying CCTV footage, but want to hear from anyone who saw the incident on Monday, just after 21:00 GMT.

The robbers, who both wore black stockings over their heads, escaped with money from the till and safe and went in the direction of St Richard's Road.
