Teenager hurt in Sittingbourne Community College stabbing

A 17-year-old boy was treated in hospital for minor stab wounds following an incident at a Kent school.

Kent Police said they were called to Sittingbourne Community College in Swanstree Avenue at about 16:20 GMT.

A force spokesman said another 17-year-old boy, who is understood not to be a student, had been arrested.

The injured boy is thought to have been stabbed with a pair of scissors. He was taken to the Medway Maritime Hospital but has since been released.
