Man found stabbed at Gillingham rail station

A man has been found stabbed at a Kent railway station, prompting police to shut it and begin an investigation.

The station was closed after the man was discovered by British Transport Police (BTP) officers at Gillingham station at about 18:30 BST.

A spokeswoman for BTP said he was receiving treatment for his injuries at a local hospital.

The station is not expected to open until Wednesday. Police urged people to contact Southeastern for details.
