Man attacked while sleeping rough in Folkestone shed

A 43-year-old man has been seriously injured in an attack while sleeping rough in a shed in Kent.

Francisco Gomez suffered a neck injury in the assault in Jointon Road, Folkestone, early last Friday.

He was initially in a life-threatening condition when he was taken to the Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital in Margate, but is now stable.

Three Folkestone men, aged 63, 47 and 45, were held on suspicion of attempted murder and later released on bail.

Anyone who witnessed a disturbance in the area of Jointon Road near the Wyevale Garden Centre at about 05:00 BST is asked to contact police.
