Motorbikes worth more than £27,000 have been stolen from a showroom in Kent by thieves thought to have wheeled them out of the premises.

Kent Police said the three bikes were stolen from the shop in The Mall, Faversham about 02:45 BST on Thursday.

A red and white Yamaha R1 worth £10,500, a blue Yamaha R1 worth £7,500 and an unregistered Yamaha R6, worth £9,500, were taken in the burglary.

It is believed the bikes were wheeled away in the direction of Edith Road.

"We are following up a number of enquiries and viewing local CCTV but we would be very keen to speak to anyone who has any information about the theft, or who knows where the bikes are," said Det Con Caroline Bentley-Read.
