Ralph Latchana charged with Wincheap crash stabbing

A 61-year-old man has been charged with trying to murder a motorist who was stabbed in the stomach after being involved in a car crash.

Ralph Latchana, of Wincheap, Canterbury, is accused of trying to kill the 66-year-old man in Wincheap, Kent, on Friday.

He is due before Canterbury and St Augustine magistrates on Monday.

The victim, who is from Canterbury, remains in a critical condition at the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.

The A28 at Wincheap was closed at both ends of the industrial estate following the stabbing, which happened at about 06:40 BST.
