Saga party death: Family tribute to David Ivin

Tributes have been paid to a Saga employee who died after the company's Christmas party in Kent.

David Ivin, 36, was reported to have been refused entry to an event at Leas Cliff Hall, Folkestone, on Thursday and then restrained by door staff.

He was taken to the William Harvey Hospital, Ashford, but was later pronounced dead.

In a statement, his family said he was a "much loved" and would be very much missed by all his relatives.

On Saturday, Kent Police said three men who were arrested following his death had been released without charge.

Saga, which specialises in products and services for the over-50s, has its headquarters in Folkestone.

After the incident, Paul Green, Saga director, said there had been a tragic incident involving a member of staff and the company was greatly saddened by the loss of a valued colleague.
