A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man died following an attack in Medway.

Paul Scott, 43, of Franklin Road, Gillingham, was attacked while he was out with friends at about 00:30 GMT on 10 February.

He refused treatment at first for a broken leg, but later went to hospital where his leg was put in a cast, police said.

On Thursday, Mr Scott returned to hospital in pain, but died later.

The man was arrested at about 19:20 GMT on Saturday, Kent Police said.

A spokesman for the force said a post-mortem examination revealed Mr Scott had suffered a blood clot.
