Cannabis seized in police raid in Paddock Wood

Cannabis resin with an estimated street value of £1.5m has been seized during a police swoop on two vans in Kent.

Boxes filled with 440lb (200kg) of the drug were discovered in the vehicles as two men met in a gated driveway in Queen Street, Paddock Wood, on Monday.

Two men, aged 43 and 34, were arrested on suspicion of possessing cannabis resin and are awaiting questioning.

Officers from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate described it as a significant seizure.
