Appeal to trace Canterbury taxi driver after robbery

A taxi driver who helped the victim of an assault and robbery in Kent has been urged to contact detectives as part of their inquiries.

He flagged down a police car after the 29-year-old victim was hit on the head and knocked to the ground in Sussex Avenue, Canterbury, early on Saturday.

The victim had his rucksack, wallet and headphones stolen before alerting the taxi driver shortly after 02:15 GMT.

Three teenage boys were arrested and have been charged with robbery.
