Car driver arrested after fatal A2 crash with digger
A 47-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a crash in Kent in which a 13-year-old boy died.
The man's Skoda Octavia crashed with a Komatsu digger on the London-bound A2 at Shepherdswell, near Dover, just before 00:45 GMT on 15 March.
The teenager, a passenger in the Skoda, was declared dead at the scene.
A section of the A2 is to be closed on Tuesday evening as part of the Kent Police investigation into the crash.
A spokesman said officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit would close the road between the Whitfield roundabout and the Lydden/Coldred crossroads from 22:15 BST to 23:00 BST.
The car driver and a 15-year-old male passenger were injured in the crash and treated at the William Harvey Hospital at Ashford.
