Second death after Hoo road crash

A man has died in hospital after a road crash in Hoo which left a woman dead and two children injured.

Kent Police said the man, 29, was airlifted to a London hospital after the crash on the Ratcliffe Highway on Saturday, but died the following day.

A 30-year-old woman died at the scene and two children were injured after a Peugeot left the road, hit a road sign and ended up in a field.

The two girls, aged seven and four, were treated at Medway hospital.

The two people who died have not yet been named.

Officers said it was not known why the Peugeot left the road.

Police urged anyone who saw the collision, which happened just after 15:50 BST, to contact the serious collision investigation unit.
