Gary Pocock death: Five in court with Sheppey murder
Four men and a 15-year-old boy have been charged with the murder of a man whose body was found on the beach on the Isle of Sheppey.
Kent Police said all five were charged late on Thursday. They appeared before magistrates in Medway on Friday.
The body of Gary Pocock, 34, was discovered on the beach in Warden Bay Road, Leysdown, on 7 August.
A post-mortem examination showed Mr Pocock, from Dagenham, east London, died from head injuries.
Christopher James Bones, 20, of Dorothy Gardens, Dagenham, has been charged with murder.
Matthew Terry, 20, and Mark Terry, 44, both of Grantham Road, Manor Park, in Newham, east London, face the same charge, along with Jamie West, 19, of Cliffe View Gardens, Warden.
A 15-year-old boy from Warden is also accused of murder, but cannot be named for legal reasons.
They are all due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Wednesday.
Police said they had also arrested a woman on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.
The 32-year-old woman from Manor Park, London, has been bailed until 4 October, pending further inquiries.
