Cyclist dies after collision with van in Ringwould

A cyclist has died in hospital after a collision with a van in Kent on Saturday.

The man was on a blue racing bike on the A258 Dover Road, in Ringwould at about 08:40 BST when he was involved in a crash with a Vauxhall Vivaro van.

He was taken to hospital in London, where he died on Sunday afternoon.

Kent Police are keen to speak to a pedestrian who was walking on the road just before the collision.

A force spokesman said the cyclist and the van were travelling in the same direction when the crash happened.

Any witnesses who saw the cycle or van before the collision are asked to contact police.
