Man jailed for assaulting two police officers

A man who admitted assaulting two police officers has been jailed.

The officers were injured after being called to Monson Road, in Tunbridge Wells, on 12 October.

John Leigh, 29, from Greggs Wood Road in the town, pleaded guilty to three charges of assault at Sevenoaks Magistrates' Court.

He was sentenced to 360 days in prison for the attacks which left the officers needing hospital treatment.
