Woman sexually assaulted near canal in Hythe

A woman has been sexually assaulted near the Royal Military Canal in Hythe.

The woman, who is in her 20s, was walking along Green Lane at about 01:30 BST when she heard movement coming from bushes.

She was then attacked by a man who sexually assaulted her, police said.

The incident may be linked to a previous sexual assault on 22 June in Seabrook Road in Hythe, a Kent Police spokesman said.

A woman in her 20s was attacked at about 07:30 as she walked along a footpath.

Her attacker was described as white, wearing a dark hooded top, a dark scarf over his face, blue tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.
