Pearl d'Souza denies Canterbury house fire charges

A woman has denied three counts of attempted murder and one of arson with intent to endanger life after a house fire.

Pearl d'Souza, who is also known as Pearl Ivy Thomas, of Keats Corner in Canterbury, admitted a lesser arson charge.

She pleaded guilty to arson as to whether life was endangered, court staff said.

The 37-year-old is due to face trial on 6 October.
