A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a mother whose body was found in a burning car.

Joshua Caird, 26, of Almond Road in Dartford, Kent, is accused of killing Donna Eastwood, also 26.

Police found her body in a blazing vehicle in Rowhill Road, Dartford, early on Saturday.

Medway magistrates remanded Mr Caird, who was arrested on Sunday, in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Thursday.

In a statement, Miss Eastwood's family said: "Donna was a loving mother and will always be mummy and daddy's little angel.

"All her family loved her and life will not be the same without her.

"Thank you to all her friends for their kind words."

Officers are appealing for anyone with information about the vehicle fire to contact them.
