Headcorn church porch murder: Arrested man released

One of the two men arrested after the body of a man was found in the porch of a church in Headcorn in Kent has been released without charge.

The body was discovered at St Peter and St Paul's Church in Church Walk, just before 09:00 BST on Wednesday by a member of the public.

The death of the man in his 50s is being treated as murder. The man's next of kin have been informed.

A man arrested by the Met Police in London remains in custody.

The victim is expected to be formally identified later, Kent Police said.
