Two held in Ashford after teenage boy stabbed

A teenage boy is being treated for multiple stab wounds after being found seriously injured in a Kent town.

The 16-year-old was discovered near the fountain at the Wellesley Road end of the High Street in Ashford in the early hours of Friday morning.

He was taken to hospital in London with what were believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

Two men were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and later released on bail.

Appealing for witnesses, Det Ch Insp Emma Banks, of Kent Police, said officers believed there may have been one other injured person who had not yet contacted the emergency services.
