A man who killed a pensioner in Kent has been detained indefinitely under the Mental Health Act.

Andrew Robin Rowe, 33, from Allenby Road, Ramsgate, pleaded guilty to manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility last month.

He denied murder during the same hearing at Canterbury Crown Court.

The body of the 73-year-old man was discovered in the bedroom of a bungalow in Allenby Road on 8 September. It is understood the two men were friends.
