Man charged over Rochester prison death

A man has been charged with manslaughter, following the death of a prisoner.

Kent Police were called to HMP Rochester on 12 October and a man was arrested on suspicion of assault.

Fraser Stent, 28, died in hospital on 19 October, a week after the incident at the jail.

Alastaire Scott, 23 has been charged with manslaughter. He is due to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court, via video link, on 24 March.
