Ambulance hits teenage pedestrian in Kent
A teenage pedestrian has been seriously injured after being struck by an ambulance in Canterbury.
The 17-year-old boy suffered a serious head injury and broken right leg, Kent Police said.
He was airlifted to a London hospital for treatment after the collision which occurred at 08:00 BST in New Dover Road.
Officers from the Kent Police serious collision investigation unit attended the scene and enquiries are ongoing.
Kent Police said reports the ambulance was on an emergency call with its blue lights and sirens activated will form part of its investigation.
Any witnesses who have not already spoken to police have been asked to come forward.
