A man has been arrested after two women and a man died in a crash involving a car and a motorbike in Kent.

The crash was on the A259 Rye Road, in Brookland, Romney Marsh, at 15:50 BST on Sunday.

The 55-year-old motorcyclist from Tenterden was killed along with a 36-year-old woman from Birmingham, and a 65-year-old woman from Walsall.

A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and released on bail.

A baby and two adults survived the crash, a Kent Police spokeswoman said.

The occupants of a purple VW camper van, which was seen in the area at the time, have been asked to contact police.

The VW was not thought to have been involved, but those in the vehicle may be valuable witnesses, police said.
